Finding a reason for customers to do business with you, instead of your competition is not always easy, but it is possible. With just a few tweaks to the way you do business, you could bring customer’s flocking back to you. Here are a few ideas to get your mind ticking…
- Are you faster at what you do? Can you provide your product at a faster turnaround time, without compromising the quality of the product?
- Do you provide personal attention? Do you remember your customer’s names, birthdays or anniversaries? Do you go that extra mile in making them feel that they are not just another client on your list?
- Are you better priced than your competition? Have you found a way to minimise costs (without compromising quality) and have you passed this onto your customer?
- Do you share knowledge with your clients about your industry? Do you keep your client’s up-to-date on what’s new in the industry and present them with new prospects to use in their business? Are you keeping them ahead of the game, so they can impress their customer’s?
- Is it easier to do business with you? Do you provide your customer’s with a free delivery service? Are you open to payment plans and package deals?
- “If you want things that no one else has, you must be willing to do things that no one else is willing to do.” So don’t consider any idea as crazy…you’d be amazed at how many businesses have established themselves on a ‘crazy’ idea. Think out of the box!
Once you’ve found that advantage over your competitor, make sure that your customer’s know about it. Promote that advantage in all of your advertising and you’ll be sure to make more sales.
